I was diagnosed with mild Hiatal Hernia last September 2011 after a gastroscopy procedure. My gastro doctor gave me protonix to be taken for 2 months. After a month, my burping / acid reflux stopped so i stopped taking the protonix. The following month, my burping and acid reflux with heartburn started again. Is it ok to start taking the protonix again after stopping it for a month?
Also, what are the food restrictions if you have hiatal hernia? Is it ok also to take gastro supplement tablets? Will yogurt also helps?
Thank you.

No food restrictions or supplements necessary and yogurt does not help.
